More Bronze Awards!
Well done to Verity, Archie, Paige, Georgia, Tessa, Morgan, Sophie and Jaden in Year 6 for earning their Bronze Award certificates after receiving ten merits already this school year. A special well done to William in 5TS who becomes the first Year 5 pupil to receive the award this year!
First Bronze Awards
Each time pupils receive a merit for achieving one of our 6Rs learning behaviours, they record it in their achievement cards. Once they've received ten merits, they earn themselves a Bronze Award certificate and three points for their house team. We are very impressed to reveal that four children in Year 6 have reached this milestone already! Poppy, Matty, Lucy and Rhianna are obviously exceptional learners! Well done to them and all of the other children who are already receiving merits.
Four very special award winners spent the morning over at St Andrews Shopping Centre choosing their well-deserved prize. Jacob, Jareth and Ben in Year 7 achieved 100% attendance over the three years of their time at Westacre, and Emily in Year 5 achieved her Platinum award this year after receiving 100 merits for the 6Rs learning behaviours. We are incredibly proud of all of these pupils and decided to reward them with their own book prize. After much contemplation, they each chose a book they were most interested in reading. These books were then presented to the four children in our end of year assembly.
We have our first Platinum award winner of the year! Emily in 5AD has now received 100 merits over the school year for being such a wonderful learner. Well done Emily!
Here are some more Gold and Silver award winners. Well done all!
As we approach the end of the school year, we are seeing more and more children reaching the milestone of 50 merits. This means we have had lots of winners of Gold Awards recently! We are very proud of these wonderful learners and you can see from the photos below how proud they are of themselves!
