Overview

Learning is at the heart of everything we do at Westacre Middle School. 

We are very excited about the new school curriculum we have been designing over recent years and hope this section of the website gives you a flavour of what and how children learn here at Westacre.

To complement this curriculum, staff at Westacre have spent some time creating an ‘Experiences’ curriculum. These opportunities form part of the explicit and ‘hidden’ school curriculum and are planned for throughout the year whenever possible through lessons and enrichment opportunities. At Westacre Middle School all class teachers are responsible for providing a curriculum that is suitable for all pupils in the class, including those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) with support from the SENCo. We have high expectations for all pupils and are committed to ensuring our curriculum complies with the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014. Additional information on this can be found via the following links:
