Cakes, crosswords and VE celebrations
Thank you to Jacob H, Millie H, Lillie-Rose W and Will P for sharing images with the office today and well done on some great work.
Huge thanks also to all of you who appeared on the VE day video- it was great to see so many of your faces.
Motorbikes, bunting and delicious looking scones
Today has been another busy day of home learning:
Hippos are scary
We really enjoy your work from J2e last week and one of our favourites was Theo P's who really convinced us all just how scary Hippos can be. He mixed fact and opinion brilliantly and also included some brilliant choices. Well done Theo- I am never going to West Midlands Safari Park again!
This week Leah B has been creating some masterpieces in the kitchen. Those of you that know Leah will know she is an AMAZING baker and her cakes are simply divine! Mrs Bennett is very much missing these creations Leah but well done for all your hard work. I can't wait to get back to school to sample them!
Mouthwatering Raspberry cheesecake brownies and Red velvet cake!
Yum Yum
This week Vinnie has been combining his love for music and has amazing DT skills by creating a pot for his drumsticks and brushes and a fantastic light up bottle for has DT homework.
Well done Vinnie, keep up the good work!
Upcycling, lots of food and perhaps the best creation ever!!!
Thank you again for all your messages today, it seems like it has been a busy Tuesday for you all.
Well done Alex for trying the bacon and cheese muffins recipe from Mrs Johnston, I love the idea of switching bacon for ham- pure genius. The M&M cookies are clearly the sign of a creative mind as well.
I loved Stan's Owl flowerpot that he sent in, Mrs Johnston would be over the moon to see you taking on her BST style challenge- great work.
Now we all know that cheesecake is delicious, and we all know that brownies are amazing...Leah B had the idea of combining the two together with lashing of raspberry whipped cream to top it off! Pure genius! Perhaps the best creation ever! She has also made red velvet brownies with cream cheese icing. As well as this, she has been working to create VE Day bunting with her sister. Superb work Leah!
Hard work, drums and muffins!
Thank you to Theo S for sending in some of your hard work for us to look at, it looks like you are working tremendously hard with your Maths, getting to grips with angles brilliantly, and learning some new language from the English texts that were set- well done.
Stan has been busy making Mrs Johnston's recipe for ham and cheese muffins and has also found time to learn Billy Jean on the drums- a boy of many talents Stan.
Well done Will!
Last week, Will P e-mailed the office to inform us of his plan to 'brave the shave' with the original target of earning £150 to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. I am so impressed and immensely proud to say Will has managed to collect sponsorship in excess of £495 and has also been interviewed by BBC Hereford and Worcester. Well done Will, you are an absolute credit to Westacre.
