Good morning Year 6, and welcome to your final daily update from Mr Purdie. Today is your last day of home-learning. We have been keeping count of the days that we have been setting you tasks, and would you believe it, this is the 67th day of work being set for you at home!
If you are keen for some extra challenges in the next two days, some extra work can be found here:
I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone and anyone who completed work on any of those 67 days. We know some of you have worked extremely hard to stay on top of your studies while school was closed, and that effort will stand you in excellent stead for returning in September.
Though this has been a very different and challenging experience for us all, I hope you have been able to find positive opportunities within it, and make the most of the time that you have had. Have a very excellent summer, and we will see you all again in September.
Best wishes and thank you from Mrs Page, Mr Purdie, Mrs Adey, Mrs Ardis, Miss Ackroyd, Mrs Humphries, Mrs Morgan and Mrs Morgan.
Tuesday 14th July
Hello Year 6! Mrs P Morgan here and, like Mr.Purdie, I can’t believe how the time has flown and brought us to the brink of our summer holidays! It is my last update for you, so I just wanted to say a huge thank-you to you all for working so hard, sending in so much fantastic work and for never giving up. Resilience is one of our very important 6Rs. The ability to dig deep and carry on, no matter what challenges pop up, is a great life skill to have – well done to you all!
I’m sending you lots of well wishes for an amazing Year 7 – you all deserve to have the best year yet!
Happy Summer Holidays to you all and stay safe!
Just before I go, here are the latest scores for the TTRS battles. There is still a little time, Year 6, for you to “rock” those times tables and knock Year 5 off the top spot!
Good morning Year 6 home-learners! Mr Purdie here with your Monday update. I can't believe we're at the last week already. The time has really flown by so fast. It was nice to see the weather make a turn for the better this weekend, I hope you were able to get out and enjoy some of it doing some fun things!
The Year 6 staff have definitely been busy making the most of the weekend.
- Mrs Adey went for a lovely walk on Hartlebury Common and took some lovely nature photographs. I went to Hartlebury Common for the first time recently, and it is such a lovely place to walk.
- It was Miss Ackroyd's birthday party, and she had some healthy peanut butter, oats and honey bars. She also made some rock cakes for the staff room. Yummy!
- Mrs Page made some amazing Biscoff Rocky Road, looks so chocolatey and tasty!
- Mrs P Morgan has been enjoying seeing her chillis start to grow in her new greenhouse. What a well-organised and tidy garden!
