Drama

Welcome to Westacre's Drama Club! Every Tuesday, after school, Mrs McCullough and Miss Colledge welcome children who share a passion for all things drama. During our sessions, we try to explore as many different skills as we can during our hour together:

  • Drama games
  • Script work
  • Collaboration
  • Behind the scenes
  • Exploring genres (for example musical theatre and comedy)
  • Stage management

We welcome anybody who wishes to take a deep dive in to the world of drama, even if you have never wanted to before... you never know, you might enjoy it! There is never any pressure to get up on to the stage and act, you can simply come along to gain new skills, meet new people and most importantly, have lots of fun!

Lockdown Drama Activities

For those of you that are missing your weekly drama fix, check out some of these activities you can do at home by yourself, or get your family involved! Be sure to take some photos and send them in!

W/b 11.5.20

  1. Lockdown documentary. A day in the life of you during lockdown! Create a documentary featuring key parts of your day, how you like to relax, what you eat and what helps you to keep motivated! Listen to David Attenborough for some inspiration.
  2. Performance poetry. Create a poem about all the things you can't wait to do when our lives slowly return to normal.

Remember, use props from around your house (with your adults permission!) or, get creative and make some. Send them in to school too!

Take care.

Have fun, stay safe.

Check back here every Monday for more activities. Miss Colledge and I can't wait to see what you produce!

You're all stars, you all shine.
