Friday 3rd July
Good morning Year 6, Mrs G Morgan here with your shout outs to all the work that is going on within school and the continued hard work that is going on at home with your home schooling.
My first shout out goes to Molly P who has used her own initiative and created a 'Guide to year 6' for the year 5 children. How wonderful! What a thoughtful and kind thing to do to help the year 5. Mrs Page has said, that on Monday when it is transition day, she is going to share your writing with the year 5, to make them feel at ease! Well done!
Also, shout outs today go to Eva W for some super writing in English and some very thoughful consideration in PSHE when thinking about who helps us in our community.
Felicity J has been doing drawing the human form, this is very difficult to do as you need to think carefully about the proportions. But she's done it! Well done!
Georgia W, has been working hard on her maths. She has solved the tricky multiplying fractions work. Then Georgia has also gone on to think about the local community within her PSHE work.
Well done Year 6, it is always lovely to see what you have been up to and how hard you have been working.
Mrs G Morgan
A special shout out today themed around our TTR champions! The table below shows the top ten Westacre children for 'lifetime earnings', but remember that your scores were all reset as we entered lockdown. Congratulations to Lucas Harding and Fern Callow for repreresenting Year 6 in the top 10!
Keep going Lucas! You're so close to being number 1!
Wednesday 1st July
Georgia and Eva have once again been working hard and sent in their work about the moon landings.
Don't forget to send in your work to the school office so we can give you a shout out too!
In school yesterday, Group 8 were clearly working on some English writing related to the film, Avatar! That looks like a great mind map of ideas to work from.
And we can also see Group 9 hard at work. Keep it up guys!
