Good morning year 5! Hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend!
Firstly, well done to everybody who logged onto MyMaths and attempted the tasks from our new measurements topic, I can see lots of you have been working extremely hard. Special MyMaths mentions this week go to:
Lily G (CD), Agata R (AU), Karolina W (JR), Isla C-B (RM) and Freddie W (LMc).
A big well done to these children who have already completed the majority (and in some cases all) of the tasks set last week!
Now for some fantastic VE Day learning. Well done to the following children:
As you know, one of last week’s English task was a Kahoot quiz using synonyms to complete sentences. Here is a list of the top scorers!
Finally, an exciting competition for those who love writing…
Authorfy have announced a brand new writing competition for children aged 5-13.
The competition is called 'A WRITE LAUGH' and the aim is simple - to write something that makes you laugh. You'll find more details on the poster, but more information including writing tips, can also be found on the website.
