After the success of this year's Eisteddfod Festival, some of the acts involved showcased their talents again during the Parent Showcase event. In front of a different audience, the children yet again thoroughly impressed everyone with their confidence and talent! Below are some photos and videos of the showcase event:

Overall Results and Awards
Once the live festival we were delighted to hand out the following prizes:
Spirit of Eisteddfod - one child per class who was chosen in recognition of their overall effort and enthusiasm throughout the festival. These are the children who stood out with their impressive engagement with the 'Celebrating Nations' theme through so many of the live and non-live events. Well done every one of you for being such a great model over the last few weeks of this year's Creative Arts festival!
Eisteddfod Champions - the boy and girl in each year group who scored the most points, across the three weeks of non-live tasks and then all of the live events, were given the special Eisteddfod Champion trophy. Well done all and a special mention to Lily in Year 6 who earned 315 points overall - the highest score this year, which she earned over seven different categories! Another special mention to Lucia in Year 5, who entered all TWELVE non-live categories, as well as five live events. Fantastic effort all round!
Finally, congratulations to Athene house who were crowned the House Eisteddfod Champions for 2026! House captains Danni and Lilly in Year 7 joined House leaders Mr Street and Miss Constable in proudly lifting the trophy! Well done to every single child, across every class in school, who contributed to this impressive success!

2026 Eisteddfod Live Finals
On Friday 3rd July, we spent the day together as a school watching all of the children perform following their successful auditions. Congratulations go to the following children who were chosen as the winning act in each category:
Instrument - Harry, Will And Dougie (Year 7 &Griffin, Phoenix and Pegasus)
Poetry - Millie (Year 7 & Pegasus)
Free Choice - Charlotte & Kelsi (Year 7 & Phoenix / Griffin)
Dance - Tili (Year 5 & Pegasus)
Singing - Rosie (Year 6 & Athene)
Gymnastics - Danni (Year 7 & Athene)
Video - Chloe (Year 5 & Pegasus)
Decorate a Cake - Ava (Year 7 & Athene), Everly (Year 6 & Griffin) and Dexter (Year 5 & Griffin)
Special mentions also to the children who were awarded additional points for finishing in 2nd and 3rd place in each category, and well done to every single child who stepped onto the stage to perform in front of around 500 people! You demonstrated so many of our school values and should all be incredibly proud of yourselves!

Non-Live Results
During whole school assemblies across three different weeks, the results of all of the non-live entries for Eisteddfod 2026 were announced. This is when the children are challenged to use their skills across the national curriculum subjects to create projects based on the theme for the year - for 2026 this is Celebrating Nations! It was great to see so many children - boys and girls from across all year groups - being recognised for the incredible efforts they've clearly gone to in creating some of the work being submitted. Well done everyone!
