    Week commencing 12th October 2026

Year 6 have continued to shine this week, producing fabulous work in all of the subjects we have been studying! We have really enjoyed decorating and painting our Greek clay pots now that they have fully dried, as well as reading and performing The Listeners by Walter de la Mare! In maths, we have moved on to dividing decimal numbers and beginning to look at dividing by 2 digits in more detail, as well as replicating Isaac Newton's spectrum of light experiment and getting ready for our house competition in basketball! A fantastic week, lots of learning and plenty of fun along the way!

    Week commencing 5th October 2026

Year 6 have had a fantastic week of learning across the curriculum. The children have really enjoyed getting to grips with our Geography unit, Coasts, and have continued to be fascinated by the ways in which the Ancient civilisations of Greece and Rome influence and shape our lives today. In Art, the children have begun to decorate their Greek pots in traditional colours and designs - they are sure to look fantastic when they are finished. During maths lessons, multiplication of decimals and integers has been the focus, and the children have also been sharpening their wider arithmetic skills. Another highlight has been hearing their developing conversational skills in French! It's been lovely to see how their enthusiasm for learning and their engagement during lessons is growing as the weeks go on. Well done Year 6!
