Debating- should men and women be paid the same? 
 

In this week’s assembly, some of year 7 demonstrated their debating skills . Over the last 6 weeks, we have built up to speeches debating the question set, looking at rhetorical questions, discourse markers and using oracy skills. 

Year 7 Reading week 

This week we are all reading Survivor- Escape from Pompeii, in preparation for writing a narrative based on it . While we read, the children are producing their own chapter summaries in a style of their choice. This will help them recall key events after half term. 

Safer Internet Day 11.2.25

All year 7 will be taking part in the activities for Safer Internet Day this week. This year, it is focussed on "Too good to be true" - identifying scams and fake messages. 

7AU were very mature and looked at sextortion too - and how to deal with messages and give advice to others.
