    In PSHE the children have been learning about the importance of community

    For reading week we have been looking at the book Race to the Frozen North. The children have been summarising each paragraph

    In Art lessons, the children have been exploring the work of Georgia O'Keeffe. they have evaluated her use of colour and recreated some of her designs

    This week year 5 have been using mirroring and matching during their gymnastics lessons

    Year 5 demonstrating how they read their weekly guided reading text.

    With this week being World Mental Health Week, during our daily well being time we have been exploring our emotions

    Our art curriculum this half term has been looking at colour and shades. The year 5 children have loved going our to The Studio and making use of our lovely art room.

    In maths, we have been developing our knowledge and understanding of place value

    Year 5 have been getting lots of fresh air this week in their PE lessons - hockey, swimming and cross country have been in full swing!

    Year 5 have been making parachutes in science to learn about the affect of air resistance

    Year 5 have been working on their resilience in PSHE

    We have been improving our reading and research skills in English

    We have been creating Christmas card designs ready to fund raise for our school.
