The National Shelf Service is a daily YouTube broadcast featuring ebook recommendations from professional librarians. Launched by CILIP and the Youth Libraries Group these videos will focus on helping children and families discover new, diverse reading experiences. Storyline Online is available 24 hours a day for children, parents, caregivers and educators worldwide.

Completely free for all children and families, the extraordinary collection of short stories, poems, essays and pictures has contributions from more than 110 children’s writers and illustrators, including Lauren Child, Anthony Horowitz, Greg James and Chris Smith, Michael Morpurgo, Liz Pichon, Axel Scheffler, Francesca Simon and Jacqueline Wilson.

The collection, published by Bloomsbury, is dedicated to the doctors, nurses, carers, porters, cleaners and everyone currently working in hospitals.

World of Stories from World Book Day

  • World of Stories - World Book Day Audio books available to listen to for free, extended while schools are closed. Stories range from picture books to older readers
