After enjoying our final breakfast of the trip, Group 2 piled into the van and headed off for an exciting morning of weaselling. Once we arrived, we parked and began a hike up the hill toward an impressive rock face. The group eagerly tackled the challenge, squeezing through narrow crevices and crawling through tight passages. It was a true test of flexibility and determination as they made their way through the rocky terrain!
All of Group 2 have had an incredible week in Snowdonia—an adventure none of us will ever forget! Throughout the week, everyone has demonstrated outstanding responsibility and resilience, embracing every challenge with a positive attitude and team spirit.
We’re heading home tired but proud, after a week full of challenges, laughs, and great experiences.
Today was an absolutely brilliant day, packed full of adventure and excitement from start to finish. We kicked things off with a game of the floor is lava and then completed an unforgettable zip wiring session in a disused slate quarry. We had to wait for the instructors to set up the lines, which only built up the anticipation. Once everything was ready, we took it in turns to fly down the wire. It was amazing—such an exhilarating experience!
After our thrilling morning, we headed down to Llanberis Lake for lunch. The scenery was stunning—peaceful and picturesque, the perfect place to relax and recharge.
In the afternoon, we put our harnesses back on and headed up to Lions rock. We separated into two groups and clipped on to a rope. Working together, we climbed the rock and helped each other out when needed. The view from the top was breathtaking!
It was a fantastic way to spend our final full day. We’ve made some great memories, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
Today was an incredible adventure! We teamed up with Mrs. Page's group and headed to Rhaeadr Waterfalls, nestled on the side of Snowdon, for an unforgettable canyoning experience. The day began with a hike up the Llwybr Watkin path, each of us carrying our gear—wetsuits, helmets, buoyancy aids, extra fleeces, and waterproofs. The Cwm Llan’s water was so clear it looked like something straight out of a postcard, and the views were absolutely breathtaking.
We climbed over rocks, and the highlight of the day was definitely jumping into the plunge pools. It was exhilarating, and we all pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones, which made the experience even more rewarding. It was great to see our teamwork improve as we supported each other through the challenges.
To top it all off, we ended the day with a trip to Georgio’s ice cream shop. It was the perfect sweet treat to close out such an adventurous day. What an amazing way to wrap up the day!
This morning group 2 enjoyed a hearty breakfast to prepare for an adventurous day mining. After sorting their kit out, everyone jumped in the minibus and travelled 45 minutes west of the centre.
When we arrived at the foot of the mine, the group strapped their kit to their backs and then ascended up the hill. Everyone showed responsibility by taking turns carrying the extra kit up the hill.
In the mine, the group enjoyed climbing up slippery slate walls to work their way through to the other side.
There were lots of smiles and giggles on the way back down as the group ventured through mud and sheep fields.
Now group 2 are back at the centre for dinner and are looking forward to another activity this evening.
After arriving in sunny Snowdonia, group 2 enjoyed a lovely afternoon on the lake. Everyone took part in rafting and used their communication skills to steer the raft all the way down the lake. Group 2 also enjoyed racing other rafts to hunt for treasure.
