Chinese New Year
Our assembly today prepared us for Chinese New Year, which is tomorrow. We watched the story of new year and learnt that tomorrow starts the year of the Tiger. We then made lanterns to guide the new year in, and tried to write Happy New Year in Chinese
In maths, year 6 are using some new software to help their mathematical understanding!
The Learning by Questions software gives instant feedback and allows us all to see how we’re doing! It got a big thumbs up today from us!

Topic Launch - What a Wonderful World
The children were surprised this morning by being asked to go straight to the hall. They entered a departure lounge and were greeted with a pilot and cabin crew, ready to take them on a journey! The children were given individual boarding passes on with one of 25 different countries on. When it was their time to fly, the departed the lounge and went up to class to explore more about their country. This is linked to their CC topic this term: What a Wonderful World. Their CC homework has also been launched today, and we can't wait to see what the children create.
