Reading week
Year 6 are all fully immersed this week in reading Clockwork by Philip Pullman.
We are reading it and discussing that text in our Guided Reading and English lessons.
Today, we have looked at the character of Dr Kalmenius, and used our inference skills with our artistic abilities to draw the character and infer what his description might tell us.
November 11th 2022 - Westacre Poppy Run
All of Year 6 took part in this year's Poppy Run, which was held this afternoon on the school field. Everyone tried their best and their were some amazing performances. The top runners from each house (Turing, Bannister, Attenborough and Bronte) had their names recorded in preparation for future long-distance running events.
