ROBIN STEVENS is the author of the Murder Most Unladylike mysteries.

April 2020 update - Murder Most Unladylike 9!

Murder Most Unladylike 9 is almost done ... and we're almost ready to reveal the cover and title! While you wait for it to be released (6th August 2020 in the UK and Ireland) and for the cover to be revealed (in the beginning of May), I hope you'll enjoy this video about the proof stage of the process.

I also discuss the books I've been reading, which are:
- Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (10+)
- The Good Hawk by Joseph Elliot (In the video I say 10+ but after finishing it I think it's more 12+. It also has a plague subplot that you should be aware of, in case you're avoiding anything pandemic-related at the moment!)
- Anisha, Accidental Detective by Serena Patel (6+)

How to plan a detective story | Robin Stevens | Murder Most Unladylike

In this video, Robin shares how she plans her books and breaks it down so young writers can try too. Every mystery story needs six key ingredients:
1. Setting
2. Victim
3. Crime
4. Suspects
5. Clues
6. Resolution
