Westacre School Sailing
During the summer term, Mr McMullen offers to take children sailing at Aztec Upton Warren from 4.00 pm till 6.45 pm.
These evening sessions will culminate in the Worcestershire School Sailing Onboard Regatta which are usually held over a weekend in July .
All ability levels are catered for from total beginners up to experienced sailors. Pupils will be following the RYA youth sailing scheme for either stage 1,2,3 or 4 depending on their previous experience and qualifications and their progress recorded in an RYA logbook which can be purchased for the centre.
As sailors become more experienced they have the opportunity to move up into Junior Gybers and then onto the Racing Group where they will get taught advanced skills and race techniques.
