Rounders
Rounders is a sport that has been played in England since Tudor times. It is a bat-and-ball game that is played between two teams. One team bats, trying to run around the whole pitch to score a point, whilst the other fields to try and stop them.
At rounders club, you will learn the skills needed for batting and fielding in preparation for playing matches against other schools. It is also a fun game to play outside in the summer sun.
Year 6 Rounders Tournament
Year 6 had the opportunity to take part in a rounders tournament held at RGS Dodderhill. They displayed their amazing skills throughout their games, with their fielding showing up as a particular strength (and noted by those we competed against!). By the end of the tournament, they thoroughly merited their medals having secured a 2nd place finish - a feat of great teamwork, agility, selflessness and perseverance. Well done to all involved!
