Craft Club have been busy designing and creating their own mosaic tiles.
Members of our after school Craft Club are learning about the process of quilting as they make their own place mats. With the support of staff, they have had a go at rotary cutting, sewing and ironing to create their products.
Craft Club are spending their Thursday afternoons practising their blanket stitch as they make their own felt monsters!
Here are some of the pupils from Craft Club with their macrame products they’ve been working on recently:
Here are some photos of Craft Club enjoying making their own paperweights:

At Craft Club, we try our hand at various crafts. So far we have made a mini rug out of strips of material and twined them around old t-shirts (up-cycling). After this we moved onto 3D origami; creating a pot out of paper. This consisted of many folded pieces of paper - 160 rectangles! Whilst constructing these, we also had a go at creating a Chinese star, which Ayane in Year 6 demonstrated to the other children. Then we created candy boxes the following week! On the agenda for the future are hand-made 'Rice bags' and many other exciting, creative ideas.
