Our Friday morning began in the science lab. The year 7's had opportunity to use the Bunsen burners to investigate how marshmallows affected water. Using our new knowledge about static energy we conducted a hot chocolate and marshmallow investigation. This made the science lab smell amazing!
Thursday started with film making, using an inanimate object to show the way around Westacre. The group were very creative using glue sticks, bouncy balls and sports equipment. After break they looked at stop motion animation to create short films.
The second session of the day is team building, trying to learn new communication skills and how to work together. After a quick game of rock paper scissors, we started to work using the pipes to transport the ball around a course.
The other half of the group worked with the parachute, playing games and working on communication and having fun!
Group 2 are starting their week with orienteering. Unfortunately, the weather was not being kind to them but they were so resilient!
This afternoon the group took part in Forest School, and also a Scavenger hunt.
