Assembly Celebrations!
BIG BANG FAIR THURSDAY
Today was our second day of visiting the NEC for the Big Bang Fair. 7AU and 7RA had a brilliant morning seeing the various exhibits, handling the animals and trying the activities. We had lots of success and names on leader boards!
Big Bang Fair
Year 7 have had an amazing time at the Big Bang Fair. There were lots of stalls based around STEM, including JCB, Medical Mavericks and Easy Jet. It was very interesting to discover many different jobs that we hadn’t thought of before.
Week commencing 10th June
This week, year 7 are starting to study Pig Heart Boy by Malorie Blackman. This is going to form part of the work for our transition unit to high school. We have watched the BBC version, and created narrative posters to remind us of the story.
We are also starting our BOUNCE BACK sessions with Action for children, discussing our mental health and how to build resilience. Each class will have two sessions.
7RA have started their food technology project by cooking cheese and onion tartlets
KS3 District Athletics
A selected group of talented athletes took part in a competition against other schools at the Ryland Centre in Bromsgrove. They showed great determination and supported each other. A huge congratulations goes to Cain, who won bronze in javelin, and Faye, who won bronze in the 1500m.
