Day 3

Another brilliant time was had today at Blackwell and our children have now returned to school safely. We were all disappointed to be leaving today, after our morning activities as we have all had a superb time away. We would like to thank all children for representing Westacre so well whilst away from school. A massive well done to all children who put their all into activities and pushed themselves to try new things! Well done Year 6!

Day 2

It begins with a bright and early start for our campers this morning and finishes around the campfire. It’s been yet another great day for our Westacre explorers. Children have had the opportunity to experience even more great activities here and yet again have impressed staff with their willingness to try activities and take risks. We’ve had screams from the zip wire, laughs from the crate stacking and cheers for our friends for having a go. We finish the day with a campfire and singing - warming our vocal chords and hands around the fire.

Day 1

We have had a brilliant and sunny first day at Blackwell today. Some of the activities that the children have experienced are 3G swing, archery, bush craft and a tree climb. We trialled some of the excellent cuisine here at Blackwell - chicken burgers and waffles (not together!). Mr McMullen and Mr Rowley even went back for seconds! The children have really impressed staff with their responsibility, resilience and positive attitudes towards every activity they’ve been to and are looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings!
