This week, Year 6 have been learning about adaptations of plants and animals, before moving on to discuss how different characteristics and traits are inherited or acquired. Here are just a couple of examples of their work on animal adaptations.
What A Wonderful World
The weather may have caused traffic delays around the country, but not at Westacre Airlines! There's lots of excitement in the air this morning as Year 6 prepare to jet off around the world! As part of the launch day of their new Creative Curriculum 'What A Wonderful World' topic, Year 6 had a busy day of learning. The children worked in teams researching a destination around the world, exploring new languages, calculating currency exchange rates and presenting their finding to classmates. Well done everyone and we hope this is the start of another inspiring topic of learning this term!
