Science investigation about how a prism changes a light ray to show the spectrum

Steel Pan Drumming

This week we have been practising our performance skills. We have read music as well as keeping a beat within the song.

This week, Year 6 have been working hard on their editing and persuasion in writing, as well as developing their love of reading with expression, fluency and personality! We have spent time enjoying finding out how our eyes are similar to our beloved mobile phones, creating beautifully-crafted Greek pottery in our Art room, showing our support for raising awareness of the importance of talking about mental health and well-being, and demonstrating our rhythm and choreography in our dance fitness lessons! A very busy week, but a very enjoyable and successful one, too!

This week...

This week, Year 6 have been learning about refraction in Science, and have been able to investigate in the Science Lab. We have been learning how to identify prime numbers in Maths, and learnt another piece of music on the steel pan drums. In Computing, we have been discussing the use of data packages and the use of IP addresses to send messages.
