Year 5 have been engineering cam toys this week. Lots of responsibility and resilience shown in the woodwork room!
Year 5 P.E - Cricket
This week Year 5 have been enjoying the lovely weather in P.E and have taken part in cricket activities and matches. Clearly there’s lots of excellent bowling and fielding skills in Year 5!
Computing- the children have been creating vector drawings
Celebrations- congratulations to all of our roll of honour winners and those who achieved a certificate this week
Oracy- this week the children created short videos using facts about peregrine falcons to make a Ripley's Believe it or Not!
During writing lessons the year 5 children have been working with their partners and using the modelled writing to create a text about peregrine falcons.
Reading- During reading the children are exploring a text about robots.
Maths- this week year 5 have been learning how to use a protractor to measure angles

In Guided Reading this week, we have been looking at Ripley’s Mighty Machines!
In CC, we have been working in teams to build bridges.
This week in PE, Year 5 have been working on their teamwork and cricket skills.
