Outdoor Learning

Our last activity today was outdoor learning, which was so much fun and absolutely amazing. We got to go into our little forest area and build shelters using ropes and sticks in teams that we chose to work in, so that made everyone happy. When we had come up with a plan about how we wanted our frames to look, we started to gather up the rope and the tarps so that we could fasten it in place and make it water and wind proof. Everyone managed to work really well as part of a team and the communication and resilience skills were very high in the whole group. Everyone showed a lot of good independence as well. Even though the shelters were different sizes, everyone managed to get theirs built and they could fit in them, as well!

Some of us then made some wood cookies, where we got to use the saw and some wood to create a bit of natural art in a different way to this morning. We decorated them with some sharpies after and then got to display them proudly in our own unique shelters. It was a really fun session and we all had a great time doing it.
