Group 1

Group 1 have had a fun day trampolining. They have spent time in the Sports Hall learning some of the basic skills of trampolining. As well as supporting one another during this activity, they also worked hard producing mini projects all about trampolining and learning about British star and Olympic champion, Bryony Page.

All children worked hard and displayed a helpful and mature manner during their time in the Sports Hall. A great start to an exciting week ahead.

We have had another fabulous day. The children had a fantastic time at the  'Footgolf'. We enjoyed our walk to and from the course and were definitely ready for our picnic in the park!

The afternoon was spent inside, beginning our Journals. It was lovely to see the care and thought taken during the first session with the journals. There were some beautiful designs and I am sure the children will be proud to show their families their journals at the end of the week.

Another brilliant day from Group 1. This morning, we made our own packed lunch with cheese, ham or jam sandwiches. We were also amazing at cleaning up afterwards too. After break, we conducted our own traffic survey to answer the question, "How many cars pass Westacre Middle School?". Some children calculated over 200 cars in half an hour!

This afternoon, we have had lots of fun taking part in team challenges including untangling ourselves, turning circles into objects and lining up in alphabetical order without speaking.

What a fun-filled day with Group 1 today! This morning, the children got creative and made their own stop motion animated films. Using only objects they found in the classroom, the children were very imaginative and made some great short films!

This afternoon, the children designed and decorated pots before planting their own spider plants to take home. We learnt about what plants need to survive so hopefully these plants will live long, happy lives!

What an amazing week the children have had. They have been so well behaved and taken part in all activities with enthusiasm. We started the day with a group piece of artwork inspired by Kandinsky. We then played bingo for sweet treats and finished the afternoon off with a film. The children chose Minecraft Movie.
