Group 3

Welcome to Group 3...

Here is our group blog for the week.

Group members: Ava, Flynn, Denny, Reis, Millie, Korben, Reuben, James, Henry, Theo, Bentley, Sophie, Amelia, Freya, Oliver, Charlie, Marcus, William, Mason, Eli, Roman, Clara, Faith, Sienna, Lilly, Finnley.

Day one got off to a great start for Group 3!

The children started their day by making their own lunches. They could choose whether they wanted ham, cheese or jam sandwiches and had to wash up afterwards.

After break, the class conducted a traffic survey to then be able to compare the traffic in Droitwich and Snowdonia - our friends on their residential will be doing their own traffic survey. Everyone enjoyed being out in the sunshine!

In the afternoon, the children enjoyed expressing themselves by making their own craft journals. They decorated the journals beautifully and began to fill in the journals by sharing their favourite things and a little bit about themselves.

What an amazing day Group 3 had today!

We started off by collaborating on a class piece of art. Everyone designed their own quarter of a circle that will all come together to make one big, bold piece of art. Watch this space to see the final product!

Then we walked all the way to Gaude Luce for a fun-filled afternoon of foot golf. The children were excellent: so well behaved, enthusiastic and really enjoyed themselves. Then we had a well-earned rest and picnic in the park on our walk back to school.

A very happy, somewhat tired, Group 3!

We have had a very creative day today! This morning, we wrote and filmed our own stop motion animated films. The children worked really hard on their creations, letting their imaginations run wild with the theme 'The classroom comes alive!'.

Next, the children learnt about what plants needed to survive before painting pots with beautiful designs before planting their very own spider plant to take home.

Group 3 have had another busy day, learning the basic skills of trampolining. The group showed fantastic support for one another and demonstrated excellent gymnastic skills. The children also learnt all about the sport of trampolining, including the life and achievements of British Olympic champion, Bryony Page. We hope that some of them will take inspiration from today’s taster session and go on to join a local trampoline club!

Well done to all those children that took part in the trampolining sessions today. It was brilliant to see your excellent manners and great teamwork!

What a packed week this has been! The children have been so well behaved and taken part in all activities with enthusiasm. We started the day by bringing together our group piece of artwork inspired by Kandinsky. We then played bingo for sweet treats and finished the afternoon off with a film. The children chose Shrek.
