For our final day started with the fist change - packing all our belongings. After breakfast we prepared for our final activity.
We stayed local to Llanberis and faced our fears of hight in the zip line activities in the quarry. They carried Thier equipment up and showed great bravery when zip lining over the quarry
The children enjoyed a lunch in the sunshine in the quarry before returning to the centre for our good byes.
Henry "a sensational week"
Ava "it has been a fun, thrilling and entertaining"
Holly "it was like living life to the max"
Today, under a beautifully and sunny sky, we set off for our first activity in Nant Gwynant: Rhaeadrau Waterfall. The children showed incredible determination right from the start, carrying their bags up the hills before stepping into their wetsuits. They amazed us all as they slid down the waterfalls and carefully made their way through a long sequence of pools and rushing water. Their courage shone through, especially as some pushed themselves even further by taking on deep pool jumps. We were so proud of every single one of them for their bravery and willingness to challenge themselves.
For our second activity, the children climbed through, over, and under large boulders, once again showing just how resilient and determined they are. They faced their fears head-on and supported one another throughout, demonstrating real teamwork and perseverance. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow with each challenge, and we truly could not be prouder of what they achieved today.
To celebrate their fantastic efforts, we enjoyed a well-deserved ice cream and spent some relaxing time by the lake in Llanberis, soaking up the sunshine and reflecting on an incredible day.
Quotes:
Lucy: ''I really enjoyed climbing the boulders after lunch ''
Arthur ''Today felt nice but the water was freezing''
Isabelle: ''The water was refreshing and I had great fun!''
This morning, Group 4 powered up with a hearty, energy-packed breakfast, knowing a day of adventure lay ahead. Backpacks were filled to the brim with essential gear—everything they’d need to take on the challenges waiting for them.
Determined to push themselves further than ever before, this fearless group set out on an unforgettable journey. Their first stop took them across Anglesey to the rugged beauty of Holy Island, where they set up camp high on the cliffs. Then came the real test: coasteering. Clinging to the cliff edges, navigating narrow paths, and leaping into the water below, the pupils showed incredible bravery. Time and again, they faced their fears head-on, encouraging one another and rising to every challenge with unstoppable spirit.
After a well-earned lunch in the sunshine—complete with a warming hot chocolate—they took things to the next level with sea-level traversing. Equipped with harnesses and carabiners, the children independently edged their way along the cliff face, demonstrating focus, resilience, and growing confidence with every step.
Following a much-needed shower, the group tucked into a delicious spaghetti Bolognese, sharing stories of their achievements before heading out once more, ready to embrace their evening adventures.
The excitement really ramped up with Group 4's first activity: climbing Lion Rock. This was no small challenge, but the children rose to it incredibly well. They tackled the slab rock with determination and courage, encouraging one another every step of the way. Because they were all attached as a team, communication was key—and they handled it brilliantly, calling out to help each other adjust their pace and stay safe. It was a real achievement to see them reach the top together!
For our second adventure, we travelled to Anglesey for rafting along the Menai Strait. This was another fantastic challenge that required both teamwork and perseverance. The children worked hard to inflate their rafts before setting off, then paddled together through the waves with great energy and coordination. There was lots of laughter and excitement along the way! We finished by stopping at a beach, where everyone enjoyed some well-earned free time exploring and taking in the surroundings.
The day wrapped up with a third challenge—a blindfolded obstacle course—and the children were absolutely amazing. Trust, communication, and teamwork were put to the test, and they exceeded expectations. It was wonderful to see how much they supported and encouraged one another, showing just how far they’ve come as a team.
Overall, it was an action-packed day full of adventure, growth, and achievement. The children should be incredibly proud of themselves for tackling three different challenges with such positivity, resilience, and teamwork!
Welcome to Group 4...
Here is our group blog for the week.
Group members: Miss Majewska, Phoebie, Isabelle, Ava, Holly F, Melek, Emily C, Elsie, Lucy, Henry D and Arthur.
Everyone has arrived safely in Snowdonia and we’ve had a brilliant first day settling in. As soon as we got here, we headed straight to our rooms, got our beds made, and met our instructors for the week.
We didn’t hang around for long before getting stuck into our first activity at Llyn Padarn, where everyone had a go at rafting. After a bit of practice paddling (and a couple of accidental falls in along the way!), the group quickly grew in confidence. Before long, everyone had the chance to jump into the water—and the staff were so impressed with how many took on the challenge and embraced the cold!
After a busy afternoon, we returned to the centre for showers and a well-earned change of clothes, followed by a delicious dinner of pizza and wedges.
This evening, the groups are heading off in different directions: some will be taking part in nightline and team-building activities, others will be exploring Llanrug, and a few will be returning to Llyn Padarn for some orienteering.
A fantastic start to the week—everyone is in great spirits and already making the most of the experience!
