Group 3 - Miss Wheatley

Group 3 consists of Miss Wheatley, Elijah, Max, Seth, Theo, Sophia, Freya, Shani, Lyra, Maddison, Ethan P, Mackenzi and Oscar Co.

Group 3 were full of excitement as they arrived for their first day at Blackwell Adventure!

After arriving and dropping off our bags, we were eager to begin our first activity – the Fan Descender. Every member of the group showed incredible bravery, tackling the challenge head-on by climbing the pole and stepping confidently off the platform at the top. It was fantastic to see everyone encouraging one another throughout.

Next up was Crate Stack. Working in pairs, the children took turns climbing an ever-growing tower of crates while the rest of the group supported them by belaying and cheering them on. Together, Shani & Freya managed to build an impressive tower of 13 crates!

Following lunch, we headed to the indoor climbing wall. Once again, everyone demonstrated courage and determination, pushing themselves out of their comfort zones and giving each climb their best effort. It was wonderful to see the group encouraging one another, offering support and helping to guide each other up the walls.

Our final activity of the day was archery, which was a brand-new experience for many of the children. They listened carefully to the instructor’s guidance on how to safely and accurately use a bow and arrow before putting their new skills to the test. There were plenty of arrows flying—some hitting the target more successfully than others—but everyone had lots of fun! We finished with a friendly competition to see who could score the most points. Congratulations to Shani, who scored an incredible 150 points to take the win!

What a fantastic first day filled with teamwork, resilience and plenty of smiles. We can’t wait to see what adventures tomorrow brings!

Day 2

After a delicious and hearty breakfast, Group 3 joined up with Group 4 for a fantastic morning packed full of fun activities!

We started the day by heading to the swimming pool, where we enjoyed a refreshing swim, played water volleyball and had lots of fun splashing around with our friends.

Next, it was time for the battle of the Reds (Group 3) versus the Blues (Group 4) in an exciting game of laser tag. There were plenty of tactics discussed, great teamwork on display and lots of determination from both sides. After an action-packed battle, the final result was a well-earned draw!

Following lunch, we took on the Tree Trek course, carefully navigating a variety of obstacles high up in the trees before finishing with the thrilling zip line. To round off the afternoon, we tackled High All Aboard. Every member of Group 3 showed incredible bravery by climbing the towering pole, with several making it all the way to the top before taking on the extra challenges set by their teammates.

This evening, we’re looking forward to gathering around the campfire for our final night together. It’s hard to believe tomorrow is our last day at Blackwell Adventure! We’re excited to make the most of every moment, although we’re all a little sad that our amazing trip is nearly over.

Day 3

After a fantastic evening around the campfire last night, this morning, Group 3 were excited for their final two activities before beginning our journey home.

We started the morning with the Dual Zip Line. Everyone bravely took on their first ride solo to get a feel for soaring through the air before teaming up with a partner for some exciting side-by-side races to the finish. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and cheers as everyone encouraged one another.

Our final activity of the trip was abseiling. Every member of Group 3 channelled their inner Spider-Man as they carefully made their way down the wall. It was wonderful to see everyone stepping outside their comfort zone, showing courage and determination right until the very end of the trip.

What an incredible few days we’ve had! Group 3 should be extremely proud of everything they have achieved, from trying new activities to supporting one another every step of the way. We are looking forward to returning to school and sharing all of our exciting adventures and memories with our friends, teachers and families.
